What to check before you use a "free, no sign-up" invoice generator
Some free invoice generators let you fill everything in and then ask for an account, an email address or a payment at the download step. Before you type a whole invoice, check these:
- Can you download without giving an email? If the download button asks for one, you've signed up after all.
- Is there a watermark? A large watermark across the invoice looks unprofessional to a client. A small footer line is less of a problem.
- Can you add your logo and choose the currency? Some free tools only allow one currency or no logo.

What happens to an invoice I make without an account?
It is saved in your browser under a temporary guest session, so a page reload does not lose it. If you clear your browser data or switch device, it is gone, so export the PDF to keep a copy. If you create a free account, the invoice moves into it and you can open it from any device.
